The Criminal Concert
for Symphony Orchestra, Tuba and two detectives
with compositions of Kagel, Copland, Prokofjew, Grieg, Mussorgsky, Mozart, Bach, u.a. and Hauke Berheide
Two rather confused inspectors investigate in the orchestra: A crime has happened, but which crime? With the help of well-known and unknown melodies, a guessing game is started with regard to the scene of the crime, the weapon and the way it happened.
A search for sounds and colours in music begins. Which associations trigger which melodies? And above all: What crime did the tuba commit?
Naturally, these inspectors investigate each clue offered by the musicians and the audience. How else could they find the solution?
`The criminal concert`, this time the subject of the family concert, is a musically varied story full of action.
