The Jinxed Concert
What happens when a concert has been arranged but the cleaner has been so busy that she still hasn’t finished and the concert hall still hasn’t been wiped down? Trude Trumm is a conscientious cleaner who won’t be sent home without getting the job done. The musicians are having a lot of trouble as a result, and they find themselves no longer alone in the spotlight, quite unceremoniously. Trude has interrupted her work so she can carry on cleaning after the concert. And until then she is there to offer the ensemble moral support. Including when rain suddenly starts pouring in through the ceiling or a gale starts blowing across the stage. Trude stumbles but is quickly on the spot. With beguiling charm and skill at improvising, she assists if an instrument is missing … or even the whole choir. Then it’s time for the public to get involved …
The whole thing seems somehow jinxed, but somehow also quite natural.
